Meet the Doula
Melissa Moulton
she/her/hers
Birth found me at the young age of 7 while flipping through the Discovery Health Channel. I revisited this passion at the age of 21 at my first doula training and know full well that my purpose lies here; in your empowerment.
I have seen and know that birth can be wild, unpredictable, joyous, overwhelming and everything in between. These feelings can be compounded by the stress of life and unforeseen challenges. As your doula, I am here to support you through whatever the circumstance may be.
I am a certified DONA doula, ACSM Exercise Physiologist, and pursuing a Master's degree in Social Work. I bring a calming yet evidence based spin to leave you feeling emotionally and physically supported throughout pregnancy, labor, birth and the postpartum experience. I also provide trauma informed yoga and fitness because preparing and recovering from birth is serious business! :-)
I have witnessed over 35 incredibly powerful people transform during their vastly different birth experiences. I am skilled in supporting you in a hospital birth, home birth, birth center, VBAC, cesarean, and unmedicated birth setting. Whatever you decide, it is your choice and it is beautiful!

My husband was very skeptical of having a doula for the birth of our daughter. He didn’t fully understand what the purpose was, and how we would benefit from having another person in the room. I was in labor for 44 hours, and Melissa was there every step of the way. She was very hands on with back compressions and did everything in her power to try to make me comfortable.
